What is the trading journal?

The trading journal is a place to review and reflect on your trading over time, distinct from raw trade history. Where the Positions panel's History tab lists each closed deal, the Journal is oriented around reviewing your performance and keeping track of how you trade. Use it alongside your closed-trade history and the portfolio's profit/loss figures to spot patterns. If you just want the ledger of every closed trade with entry, exit, P&L, commission and swap, look at the History tab in the terminal or export your transactions; use the Journal when you want to study and improve your trading.
